JODIE AMOS
Jodie is a young, talented and ambitious event rider and trainer. Jodie has been competing since she was 14 yrs old, and has developed into one of Great Britains future eventer talents. She has a natural ability, although hard work and pure dedication are key to Jodies success.
As a junior Jodie was placed 6th at Tartas and finished in the top ten at the French juniors cup final at Bonneville.
In 2003, Jodies last season in France, Jodie enjoyed considerabe success at intermediate level, rarely out of the top ten placing, with a number of wins notably at Bonneville, Tratas and Samur.
Representing Great Britian, Jodie finished 2nd at he Intenational CIC* of Kreuth in Germany and 6th at the International CIC* of Ecublens in Switzerland.
On her arrival in England, Jodies succss at International level continued with a 2nd place at Thirlestane's Scottish Championships CIC** followed by a fantastic perfomance at Burgie International CCI** finishing 4th and 11th with well over 100 starters in both classes.
These competitive results earned Jodie a place on the short list for the 2005 British Young rider squad with a view to competing in the European Championships.
Having finished University to concentrate on her eventing career full time, Jodie went on to gain valuable experience working for top eventers, alongside bringing on horses for sale, another key component in this business.
Jodie decided to hang onto her current top ride Altars Luck, with whom she won her first International three day event, Aldon CCI* 2007. She has produced him from scratch, from a broken 5 yr old to an experienced International competitior with whom she is currently on the 2012 Equine pathway programme, for potential Olympic horses. Altairs Luck has since successfully competed a CCI** at Houghton Hall and finished fifth in his first advanced class, both qualifying results for the next step up,a CCI***.
Jodie is also working with Equestrian Edge to deliver training programmes aimed at the rider wishing to gain the edge on their competition. Through her own achievements Jodie recognises the need for quality trainers and will inpart her knowledge and expertise to riders wishing to develop their own abilities and also those wishing to train others. Jodie is a real asset to the H&E team, not only does she have the drive and ambition, she is also a brilliant communicator with experience that goes beyond her years. Also an asset to the H&E team is Jodie's billingual abilities. She speaks fluent French and Spanish.
Jodie also runs her own successful event yard at Aston-le-Walls. She has a very strong team of horse for this season with four more experienced rides at intermediate/advanced level alongside some very promising youngsters.
Jodie also competes Equestrian Edge's very own 'Competitive Edge' a very promising 5 yr old competing at novice level and whom had won three out of six outings in his first season so far. This is down to a talented youngster but also to Jodies amazing ability to produce and engage the best out of the horses she rides.
We are supporting Jodie all the way and hope that other potential sponsors will see the wisdom in investing in Jodie be it financially or through the purchase of future prospects giving Jodie the chance to develop, Compete & deliver top eventers for the coming years.
